The 2024 ICC T20 world cup was the 9th tournament to be played in West Indies and the United states in june2024 and i was very much looking forward to this World cup. India also had a chance to become champion again after 17 years.

India defeated England by 68 runs and shattered England’s dream of becoming champion and India qualified for the final.
Due to its good performance, Team India made it to the finals. It was one step away from becoming the champion.

Now India had a chance to write golden history in golden letters. India won the toss and decided to bat first. Virat Kohli’s innings 76 runs, Team India was able to make 176 runs in 20 overs.
Henry Klaasen’s 50 off 23 balls leaves South Africa needing 26 runs in 24 balls to win. It feels i am moving away from my dream of becoming in India. Then Henry Klaasen out while playing the first ball of Hardik Pandya who came to bowl the 17th over. team India hopes came alive again. Now South Africa needs 16 runs in 6 balls to win and David Millar was on strike. on the first ball of the 19th over, David Millar tried to hit a six over long off. Suryakumar Yadav standing there pulled the inside as if it was from across the boundary line.
Suryakumar Yadav almost put the trophy in team India’s handy by tacking one of the best catches of his career. And India created history by winning the match by 7 runs
The Indian team once again hoisted the flag after 17 years on the ground of Bridge Town, Barbados.
